How do I change when I receive alerts?

Alerts can be customized based on temperature thresholds. This article will explain how to set thresholds on your alerts so you can manage the number of alerts you receive.

Alerts can be customized by adjusting the maximum and minimum thresholds of when alerts are sent out. These can be particularly helpful if you find yourself receiving an excessive number of alerts. This guide will walk you through how to change alert triggers.

How does GlacierGrid know when to send me alerts?

Setting temperature thresholds is the best way to customize your alert notifications, and GlacierGrid has set up a system to ensure the accuracy of these thresholds. We recently updated (January 2025) our alerting logic to make our solution even more effective at notifying you about temperature issues at your sites.

Specifically, we now send alerts even when there are minor data gaps and use trend data to determine when to notify you.  This optimization should help avoid any potential instances of missed alerts, and are aimed at giving you peace of mind when setting your temperature thresholds.
